30 Nigeria House Project

Theatre Royal Stratford East in collaboration with New World Nigeria  announced the 30 artists selected to  take part in 30 Nigeria House, a search for original creative work from young artists (aged 18-35) of Nigerian heritage.

The 30 artists were awarded up to £3,000 to develop their work, providing significant investment in emerging talents.

30 Nigeria House was also part of the London 2012 Festival, the spectacular 12-week nationwide celebration that ran from 21st June till 9th September 2012, bringing together leading artists from across the world with the very best from the UK.

Yours truly was selected as one of these artists based on my project.

After several tweaks, I have successfully completed the final draft of the short film to be shoot eventually as my 30 Nigeria House project. It is titled “When fishes drown” and is a 15 minute short film that would be shot on location in Lagos, Nigeria. A proper itinerary would be forwarded soon but we hope to begin the auditions process by next week.

The script can be downloaded here.
